1. Who We Are
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to services and digital offerings provided by Tara Rinke Counselling (operating as WithinBreath), based on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada.

2. What We Offer
This policy applies to the following types of offerings (“Offerings”):
- 1:1 Counselling: Individual sessions delivered live (online or in-person where applicable).
- SoundBreath: A guided experience delivered live and/or via digital content (as described on the checkout / sales page at time of purchase).
- Nervous System Reset Program (NSR Program): A multi-week program experience that may include live elements, digital modules, and community components (as described on the sales page at time of purchase).
- Nervous System Reset Lab (NSR Lab): A live online group session experience, typically time-bound and delivered via video call.
Some Offerings may include access to digital materials (videos, audio, PDFs, worksheets), replays, or community spaces. Where recordings are made and offered, delivery timing will be stated on the relevant registration or sales page.
When you register or purchase, you may be added to our email community so we can send confirmations, reminders, access links, follow-up resources, and relevant information.
Our Offerings are educational and experiential in nature and are not a substitute for medical, psychiatric, or crisis care.
3. Pricing
Pricing varies by Offering and may change over time. The price you pay at checkout applies to your purchase and is not affected by future price changes.
4. Refund Policy (General)
Because many WithinBreath Offerings are time-bound, capacity-limited, and/or include immediate access to digital materials, our general policy is that purchases are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law or explicitly stated on the checkout page.
However, we aim to be fair and compassionate. We may review requests on a case-by-case basis, especially when:
- a clear duplicate payment was made,
- a technical issue on our side prevented access to a live session or digital materials, or
- rare and compassionate circumstances occur (for example, a medical emergency).
If you believe you qualify for a review, email [email protected] within 7 days of purchase (or within 7 days of the scheduled live session date, where applicable).
5. Cancellations & Rescheduling (1:1 Counselling)
For 1:1 counselling sessions, we require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
- If you provide at least 24 hours’ notice, we will reschedule your session to a mutually available time.
- If you provide less than 24 hours’ notice, the session may be charged in full or considered a used session (unless we decide otherwise at our discretion).
If an emergency arises, please email us as soon as possible. We may offer a one-time courtesy reschedule at our discretion.
6. Digital / Group Offerings (SoundBreath, NSR Program, NSR Lab)
For SoundBreath, the NSR Program, and the NSR Lab, purchases are generally non-refundable because these Offerings may include:
- immediate access to digital materials and/or recordings,
- time-bound live facilitation, and/or
- limited capacity that cannot always be filled last-minute.
Rescheduling / Credits:
- If the Offering includes a scheduled live date (example: NSR Lab), you may request a move to a future date if you contact us at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time, when future dates are available.
- For multi-week containers (example: NSR Program), we may offer a credit toward a future cohort in rare circumstances, at our discretion.
7. No-Show Policy
1:1 Counselling: If you do not attend and you did not reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice, the session may be treated as a used session.
Live Group Sessions (e.g., NSR Lab): If you do not attend a live group session you registered for and did not request a reschedule at least 24 hours in advance (and the session went ahead as planned), then:
- your booking will be considered a used ticket, and
- no refund or automatic credit will be provided (where applicable).
You can still email us at [email protected] to explain your situation; any credit offered will be at our sole discretion.
8. How to Request a Change
For any questions about refunds, cancellations, rescheduling, credits, or issues with payment:

Please include your full name, the email used at checkout/booking, and the name + date/time of the Offering so we can locate your details quickly.
9. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” at the top of the page. Continued use of our website and services after changes are posted means you accept those changes.
